This diecast model Triumph TR4 is British Racing Green and features working wheels.
When launched in 1961, the Micholotti designed TR4 introduced civilizing features such as wind-up windows into the TR range, which had previously been more of a traditional sports car. Priced at £1,095, the TR4 fitted neatly between its two main rivals from archenemy BMC; the 132bhp but expensive at £1,168, Austin Healey 3000 Mk2, and the beautiful, but slower and cheaper 86bhp MGA Mk2 at £963.
In 1965, after 40,253 examples had been built, the TR4 received a major chassis redesign and became the TR4A. However, the body style continued almost unchanged until the TR6 was launched in 1968.
1:43 scale (approx. 9cm / 3.5in long) - made by Vanguards.
