Renault 19 (1992) in Red (1:43 scale by Minichamps 400113700)
This diecast model Renault 19 (1992) is Red and features working wheels.
The development and engineering started in November of 1984 and took almost 4 years until May of 1988, when the R19 went into series production. The introduction of this car was regarded as a big quality improvement by Renault. In 1989 the notchback was introduced and was called Chamade (from 1992 the name changed to Bellevue). The convertible was engineered by the convertible specialist Karmann in Osnabrück and went into production in 1990.
In 1992 the R19 received a face lift. The vehicles are better known as phase 2 cars. The R19 was produced in Europe until 1995 (the convertible until 1997) and its successor was the Renault Megane. The R19 was the last Renault with a letter before the number. Up until 2000 the R19 was also produced for countries such as South America and Turkey.
