This diecast model Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa `Lucybelle` (1958) is White and features working steering, suspension, wheels and also opening bonnet with engine, boot, doors.
May we introduce “Lucybelle” to you? That is the name by which the Testa Rossa with the chassis number 0732 first came to be known in its good old days. The owner Ed Hugus was an American, who decided to have the car painted in American racing white with double blue stripes. Admittedly, that appearance was unusual for a Ferrari. But take a look for yourself: Isn’t it strikingly beautiful? This is why we build a high-end miniature replica after it, limited to 3,000 pieces worldwide.
One of Lucybelle’s racing highlights was a 7th rank at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1958, where it had the starting number 22. The drivers Ed Hugus and Ernie Erickson won their spot by competing triumphantly against a large number of tough competitors. Our model represents the current status of the car.
The uniquely shaped and gracefully streamlined body is a rare example of perfect design. A flawless finish brings the racing stripes and starting number into a nice contrast. The two additional headlights are due to the endurance challenge of the 24 Hours of Le Mans races.
